Throughout the history the Turks in the Balkans , just because ot their ethnic or religious identity were persecuted by their non-Muslim neighbors. All these massacres had a common goal: to reduce the number of Muslims through ethnic cleansing, forcing them to migrate, and ultimately to change the region's ethnic map.
SYSTEMATIC MASSACRE WAS APPLIED
There is no doubt that the history of humanity will remember 1. Balkan War, as systematic massacre of the Muslims in the Balkans .
Willing to put an end to the existence of the Ottoman Empire in the Balkans, Serbia, Montenegro, Greece and Bulgaria with the mediation of Russia declarred a war and entered 1. Balkan War.
THE GREATEST CARNAGE OF THE CENTURY
On the eve of the Balkan Wars, the Ottoman Empire was in a deep crisis due to internal problems and external pressures. According to research by Erhan Türbedar from "Derin Tarih" (Deep History) magazine, the Balkan Wars did not conclude only with heavy land losses . A large Turkish and other relative communities in this region became victims of massacres .

POPULATION DECREASE OF 62%
According to Justin McCarthy, prior to the Balkan Wars in the territory of the Ottoman Empire in Europe except Albania,were living 2,315,293 Muslims . After The Balkan Wars this number decreased by 62 % to 1,445,179.
632 408 Muslims died in this process , 812 771 moved to Anatolia.

A report by international inquiry commission,established in 1914 by the Carnegie Foundation concludes that the atrocities on Muslims during the Balkan Wars are the product of a systematic policy. The houses and villages of the Muslims were turned to ashes and an unarmed innocent people were killed, the report said.

Seeing the atrocities in Balkans as a reporter for newspaper,called "Kievskaya Mysl" Trotsky have been shocked.Trotsky wrote that in Macedonia Albanian and other Muslim villagers were ruthlessly killed by Serbs, the property of lying around beheaded Muslims were systematically looted,even the doors and windows of the houses were removed .

In one of his works Trotsky was drawing attention to the following word of a Serbian soldier:"I have killed too many Albanians,but I could not find anything of value in them.But on a young Turkish women I slaughtered were 10 golden coins "
FORCEFULLY CHANGING OF RELIGION
The other characteristic of the policy of the Serbs and Montenegrins was to force the Muslims and Catholics to become Orthodox christians.
Acording to the report from May 1913 written by the Austrian Consul in Prizren ,in the town of Ipek ,conrelled by Montenegrins 2000 Muslim families were forced to convert to christianity .Those who resisted were tortured.
